Purpl: The Future of Co-founder Matchmaking in the SaaS World

Understanding SaaS:

A Software as a Service (SaaS) is like a rental service for software. Instead of buying a software program to install on your computer, you access it over the internet, usually through a web browser. You typically pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee to use the software.

A good example of a SAAS is google docs.

Introducing Purpl:

In the rapidly evolving world of SaaS, finding the right co-founder can make or break your startup. Enter Purpl.

I recently had the privilege of interviewing the founders .The founders have a strong academic background and are currently part of a renowned incubator program.Their aim with Purpl is to bridge the gap between visionary ideas and business minds capable of turning Saas ideas into market ready products.

The Competitive Landscape:

There are several other platforms that offer co-founder matching such as https://www.ycombinator.com/

Reddit forums

Linkedin and other social media platforms

Purpl's Unique Approach:

While platforms like Y Combinator have made their mark, Purpl aims to connect people not just by skills alone but also by location, complementary skills and personal values to form a better bond. Another of the founders aim is to act as a bridge between that initial idea and that a student might have and the goal they are trying to reach.

Business Model Considerations:

Purpl is still in the incubator stages of their planning so they have not decided on how they will charge people for this service. Charging people for this service may take different forms such as subscription based or percentage of equity.

The Vision Ahead:

The founders of Purpl believe that they provide a personalized experience that helps connect the right people at the right time.

Because the founders are still in the early stages of their service they are planning to do one on one interviews to find the right candidates for each Saas idea that a client may have and hopefully over time to make this service from dialogue orientate to automation service.

The founders are well aware that this service will need to be easily scalable and provide the best service possible. Like many startups in their early stages, Purpl is continuously evolving its model to best serve its users and ensure scalability.

Current Collaborations:

Purpl has already started collaborating with a few people and most of the ideas seem to be focused in the AI space.

Conclusion:

Purpl is shaping the future of co-founder matchmaking in the SaaS world. Do you believe personalized matching is the key to successful startups? Let's discuss!

Stay tuned for a follow-up interview with the founders of Purpl in the coming months, where we'll dive deeper into their progress and achievements.
